Dear Members & Non-Members,
We are happy to invite you this year to a wonderful, rarely seen home for our Annual Afternoon Tea. 56 Fremont Place has a long wonderful history. Part of this history is that it was the former home of screen actress and one of the founding members of United Artists, Mary Pickford. Our tea is on Saturday, February 21st from 1 to 4 and women are requested to wear hats. There will be a prize given for the best hat and there will also be wonderful raffle items to bid on as well. Bring cash for the raffle.
Professor Eleanor Shrader will be our guest lecturer for the day and will be speaking of the history of the house and the environs of Hollywood. Catering will be done by Layne.
We are doing something different with our pricing hoping to encourage guests to become members. Members whose renewal fees are current will pay $95. for the event. Non-Members or guests will pay $140. and this will include a single membership to the Historical Society.
