WSHPHS New Member Spotlight: Suzi Yoonessi

Suzi Yoonessi is an Iranian-American film director at Walt Disney Animation Studios. She lives in Larchmont Village with her two children and husband, tape artist Spencer Crossland. She wrote and directed the award-winning feature film Dear Lemon Lima and directed the Duplass Brothers film Unlovable and the Scooby Doo origins film Daphne and Velma for Warner Brothers. Yoonessi grew up in Buffalo, NY, in a punk Riot Grrrl band and received her BFA from San Francisco Art Institute and her MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts.
